Don`t cry for me Argentina........la la la la laaa la la la.... hehe! I guess that everybody puts that in their posts from Argentina at some point, and that is the least original openning line to a blog entry in the history of...well, ever...but, I dont care because it amused me slightly,so there!!!lol. How is everyone??? I hope that you are ok! I`ll tell you what Im up to now...after the lengthy introduction that I seem to be fond of (why cant I ever just get to the point on this thing...???) We arrived in Buenos Aires this afternoon after a 2 hour boat trip from Montevideo (aka Ghost town) which, I miraculously slept through, and managed to keep hold of the contents of my insides for the duration of!!! RESULT!!! I even dribbled on Mums Moose pillow that she bought from Canada, I slept that well...which she wasn`t too impressed by, but i was obviously oblivious to!!hehe. We even had Toblerone for the journey...I always have Toblerone for the journey...but I don`t suppose you really care about that do you now, so I`ll shut up jibber jabbering now!lol. Well, from first impressions, Buenos Aires could not be more differnet from Montevideo...I wanted people, and thats what I got..In abundance!!! Most of the Travel Guides describe the place as "highly cosmopolitan" and that you could well mistake it for any European City, and I would agree with that, so far. We were sat in a cafe before having a bite to eat (I was absolutely ravenous...lack of breakfast due to anticipated sea-induced regurgitation...) and I could have been in London, watching all the people in suits marching by, and all the teenagers going past, looking just like all those teenagers at home...converse,skinny jeans,hoody,thick eyeliner..who would have thought it, eh?(apart from if I was in London I would at least have a vague idea of what the waiter was saying to me...) Randomly, I decided to order a salad, because I am a bit fat again now (damn it Vicky!!!!), just in case you were interested...and the wierdest combinations of foods you could possibly put in abowl came back to me!! It was prawns,chopped pairs,sliced peaches, palmito,creme fraise and honey mustard!! Who thought that was a good idea?? Coz I didnt!! And neither did my poor tastebuds!!lol. I suppose that it could be an interpritation of a salad...I must admit I prefer the rather boring lettuce and tomato version, but, oh well. (I think that the chef was probably just trying to get rid of whatever he had leftover in his kitchen, or perform some kind of experiment as to exactly what people will actually eat if you put it in front of them..) Anyway, I did eat it, because I was starvin` and because I dont know enough Spanish to complain.I bet that chef was stood hiding in the kitchen door absolutely wetting himself.... Then, we had alook around some of the nice shops here, and I bought 3 CDs for a tenner!BARGAIN! It is really cheap here, but depressingly, I cant buy any clothes (oh..it pains me so...)because I have to fit them into the backpack of minisculinity (Im sure that it is shrinking by the day..) but, I suppose thats the price that you pay for getting the opportunity to see all the amazing things in the world, so I aint complaining, I think that its a fair deal!!! Anyway, Im going to get some kip now, if I can. Mum is starting to make those small grunts that normally preceed the full blown train snores...but heres hoping that they dont happen...lol. I was going to write in my paper journal but I cant now, because Mum told me to turn the light off so she could sleep, and if I turn the light on now, I will face almost certain death...lol, so better leave it until morning, I suppose! Anyway, probably for the best, Ive got a day of hardcore tourist action tomorrow so I need all the energy I can get!! I just realised that I haven`t actually told you anything interesting in all this entry, apart from about a salad that wasnt really a salad.. Im sorry, you know what Im like for talking all random at times.... Anyway, Ill try and write something interesting next time, I promise!!lol. Take care everybody!!Love you lots and lots!!!
