WHERE VIV'S AT...
Yeeesssss we've got a bloody campervan, can't believe it after days of solid hard graft looking we're successful. It seems that everyone in Cairns is heading south to be in Sydney for Xmas and it was a nightmare trying to arrange any transport - we even looked at Kayaking down (joking I think...). We (that's Kirsten and me - Kirsten is in the piccy) pick it up this afternoon and we've got two weeks to drive down to Brisbane. So folks you can look forward to our tales and tribulations on the road.
Anyway I had to come back to Cairns but it's only one night and just lazed around the lagoon then went drinking. Oh and watched some carol singers which seems really bizzare as the temperature outside is in the 30s it's hard to believe it's nearly Xmas.
Oh and yesterday before I left Port Douglas I went to the Rainforest Habitat and finally saw a Cassowary (that's the big bird with the hammer on it's head) - there are only about 1500 of these things left on earth so good to see one and get a photo.
Hoping to get some more photos up soon, but having issues with loading them on - not sure if it's me or just the bloody internet cafes.
Well I'll be in touch soon once we find an Internet Cafe on our trip down south. Looks like Xmas in Brisbane for us (if we get there before being killed by spiders...)
