Michelle's latest entry
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Well, we are on our way home. We had a great trip but now it is time to head east. This will be my last entry for the trip.
We mainly just drove all day though we did stop at Petrified Forest National Park for lunch. We didn't see much of the park but did see a bit more of the Painted Desert that was more in keeping with what I expected…
Brian Sounds great, though we will stick to hiking ALONG the ridge rather than up it.
re: Pipe Springs National Monument, ArizonaJanice Bielmyer Ervin and I have really enjoyed reading your blog! We are both envious, but happy that you are having such a good trip. Can't wait to read more.
re: Grand Canyon North Rim, ArizonaJoyce Wenberg I envy you so much being at the Grand Canyon. Never made it there.
re: Grand Canyon North Rim, ArizonaChristine Delaney Seeing as you did not stop in Deadwood, Brian and I would highly recommend the TV series "Deadwood" which is probably available on Netflix or some such. Lots of drinking and swearing but the main character spoke with language reminiscent of Shakespearean English. Pour yourself a glass of whiskey and enjoy!
re: Hill City, South DakotaJoyce Wenberg Like your friend. Your trip sounds so interesting. It is pouring rain here this am. TJ was in the hospital again but he is ok now. VJ is coming back to Bensley Thursday. That's about all that has happened here
re: Custer, South DakotaJoyce Wenberg Love the pictures. This is giving me an opportunity to see what I will probably never see for real. Sue and I did nothing. Maybe had one game all day and rest of bids were below game.
re: Indian LodgeVi The Corn Palace is so different from what we saw so you must be right about them changing themes.
re: Sioux City, IowaJoyce Wenberg You are making me jeolous. That's one part of the country I have never been. Sounds great
re: Mitchell, South DakotaChristine Delaney Gee, you make it sound so inviting! Brian can hardly wait to visit Missouri. If you can get to Pipestone national park in South Dakota (on the Minnesota border) it is well worth the visit. This is where Native Americans still get the clay (pipestone) for their pipes.
re: Sioux City, IowaChristine We stopped at Boonsborough State Park but ithe fort etc was closed, glad you ar having better luck. I am getting used to the blog...it is different being on the reading end!
re: Douthat State Park Clifton Forge, VirginiaChristine Delaney Hope you have a great trip. We are looking forward to reading about your travels as we will, at some time or another, follow the same path. Blog on!
