(4 NIGHTS) very similar to Luang Prabang in Loas, so we loved it! Lots of good shopping here, and we spent Tara's 24th birthday here to! I spent money i shouldn't have on a fake! ( get me, have you ever known it - come on its been 6 weeks now and i need a dose of designer) so i got a LV bag and a chanel watch!!! ( which actually slowed down 3 days later in Bali, good job they have them here to, think i might get a Rolex this time! lol)
There we got up early and visited Angkor Wat and some of the surrounding temple ruins, Angkor Wat was absolutely breathtaking ( even in the rain) It is so big, the pictures you see of it do not do it justice. There is so much architecture and art involved. We had the option of a 1 day, 3 day or 5 day ticket and before visiting i wondered how anyone could spend anything longer than a day wondering around the temples, but now i have been there i KNOW why! It is so very interesting, i could have spent more time there and i can only imagine what it would look like at sun set or sun rise. This place should definitely be a wonder of the world. It is without a doubt in the same league as the Taj Mahal ( and since i've seen that too i can justify saying that!!) We also saw the temple where Tomb raider and Indiana Jones RaiderS of the lost ark were. The night life was good here also, we celebrated Tara's birthday over a lovely meal at the red piano but didn't have a late one as we had our flight to Bali to catch the following morning early! Tara was coming down with a cold ( that i now have) to.
