Phoebe had the removal people coming round at 8.30am this morning to take a note of everything that was being moved to Wiluna, so I was up and sorted out all my things before they came. Then we headed to the beach at 9am for a swim before it got too hot. Phoebe took me to the nude beach first but thankfully there wasn't much people there at that time but I still had to close me eyes haha and yes of course I kept my bikini on!!!!! We went back down to Cottesloe beach for our swim :)
Today I was meeting up with Slater and Mark, so after our swim Phoebe dropped me off at Colin's house in the city centre. It was great seeing slater and I got my credit card etc that Mum sent over with him. Colin had taken holidays since the boys were over so the four of us headed to Kings Park again where we had lunch. It was ridiculously hot today and temperatures reached 39 degrees!!! Of course I was with the boys so we all had a cider with lunch, which probably wasn't the best idea in the extreme heat. Mark then decided we should go and see this tree in the botanical gardens, well the four of us were cooking by the time we found this tree. It was far too hot for any of us.
The day just flew by, it was the middle of the afternoon by the time we were back at the car. We went into the city centre to a factory outlet centre as Slater wanted to get RM Williams boots and things. Well I spotted a gorgeous winter gillet in the sale, and Mark offered to take it home for me. $100 down to $50! I was chuffed with my wee winter purchase when it was 39 degrees outside.
After our shopping afternoon, we went to Colin's local sports bar and had 3 or 4 pints while watching the Nadal quarter final match. I have been extra good since Queenstown with my alcohol intake, hardly been in any pubs, so it was fine to have a pint or two with the boys. Katrina phoned while we were in the pub so had a good news wi her, before she spoke to the boys to organise the plans for them arriving in Melbourne tomorrow.
Phoebe was having a family meal tonight before she leaves for Wiluna on Saturday, so I was crashing at Colin's tonight to stay out of the way :) which was really handy and a fine change. We all went back to Colin's to shower, as he had booked a table for us and his cousin Melissa (who's also a cardiac nurse living in Perth) at the C Restaurant in the Sky. It was a restaurant in the St Martins Tower on level 33 that revolved, which was amazing and gave you a view over the city, swan river and kings park. It was really fancy, with white table cloths and the waiters remembered what you ordered and continually topped up your wine glasses and water glasses. The dress code was very smart but obviously we were as smart as we could be hehe.
I had a salmon starter, followed by beef wellington and then a rhubarb type pudding. All the courses were amazingly fancy and small like you get in posh restaurants. It was a gorgeous meal, with great company and a couple bottles of nice New Zealand wine! I did feel slightly dizzy when I looked out the window, it was a weird feeling and actually felt nauseous at times. As soon as I focused by eyes back in the restaurant though I was dandy :)
After our meal, we were all pretty exhausted after the heat today but we headed to the Aviary bar for a drink, which was also very posh. It was really nice to be in the city centre for a change and see Perth's downtown!! We only had one drink here before getting a taxi back to Colin's.
I've had such a fun day with good Scottish company and giggles!!! Goodnight folks xxx
