We had a total chilled out morning, and a long lie. I feel like a human again :) we spent the morning swapping our Africa photos and looking through them which brought back some fantastic memories. I also managed to publish all my blog from New Zealand and change my flight up to Ho Chi Minh so I arrive on the same day as my tour starts which will be much better.
I still have a few things to do before Asia, like book my Singapore accommodation and finalise my Vietnamese visa but I will get all that done at some point this week.
We headed to Fremantle in the middle of the afternoon, and booked tickets to the Fremantle Jail. We had a walk through the local market which was lovely, amazing fresh fruit and veg stalls along with some unusual and good quality crafts. Our tour started at 5pm of the Fremantle Prison, and it was excellent. We did the 'Doing Time Tour' so we were treated like convicts and it was so much fun. Perth's history is so young and this is the only National Heritage site in Western Australia. It opened in 1850 and closed in 1991, but the conditions that the convicts were kept were pretty good in my eyes. It had an amazing chapel and the court yards all had gym equipment etc for them to use. Fair enjoyed my hour and 15 minutes of being a convict :) Except from seeing the gallows which were actually used for 43 executions, that was a bit freaky!
We headed straight to Little Creatures which was a brewery type pub, to meet Nicole after we had finished the tour. It was a huge restaurant/pub in a big shed basically, it was so different!!! Perth Sunday seshs aren't like what we have at home hehe. I was hoping to meet up with Slater tonight but they ended up in the centre of Perth for their Sunday sesh and by 5pm they were all bleezing so we didn't end up seeing them. It was great seeing Nicole again though and catching up, she is so easy going its ace. Nicole and I shared a pumpkin pizza and some corn on the cobs for tea, as Phoebe wasn't hungry. I had 2 glasses of wine for my Sunday sesh and then we headed back to Phoebes.
Sandy was at a BBQ tonight, along the street from Phoebes house so she ended up coming round to crash, so the three of us watched Easy A the film before we went to bed. I was pretty tired while watching the film but managed to stay awake.
I must have been out like a light! The heat is so tiring xxx
