Happy Boxing Day Everyone!!!

Well the whole dorm slept till 12.30pm and we all needed it! There were a few sore heads this morning but everyone was still in the Christmas spirit.

I really had to make some decisions today because tomorrow we were checking out of our hostel and we had no where to go! Homeless in Sydney... I really wanted to stay in Sydney for hogmany but I knew it wasn't going to be possible.

After having some toast and fruit in the hostel kitchen, Clark, Neil and I went for a wonder down George Street to the boxing day sales. All I really needed to do was go to the Sony shop to get a new camera etc and of course it was the only shop that was shut! Gutted I was because I didn't want to go another day without one.

Anyways after that I headed straight back to the hostel to play with my Santa present.. the famous iPad :) Neil and Clark had a wonder round the shops but I needed to book my flights etc for the rest of my trip.

So I spent a good 3 or 4 hours on the Internet. It was stressful I tell you... I had to concentrate and think!!! I extended my insurance cover and planned the next 2 months :) Here goes then...
I am now flying to Melbourne tomorrow with Tiger Airlines :s and spending 2 weeks there before flying to New Zealand on the 11th January for 10 days to visit Margaret again and spend some time in Queenstown baby!!! On the 21st January I'm flying from Christchurch to Perth via Melbourne for 1 week with Phoebe and Nicole, to see the west coast. I leave Australia on the 29th January and head for 4 nights in Singapore :) I cannot wait. It's going to be a fun month. On the 2nd February I start my trip from Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam which takes me up to Hanoi, through Laos and Thailand, finishing off in Bangkok. I still need to book two South East Asia flights but I've plenty time to do that. To finish off my amazing trip of a lifetime I am doing 8 days island hoping in the south of Thailand just to top up my tan before flying home on the 5th of March!!!!

After all that I was done in. I went and made myself a couple sandwiches in the kitchen and really needed to shower and freshen up!!! Since it was my last night in Sydney Clark and I thought there was nothing else we could do except go out for a few drinks!!!

Neil had been in the pub wi his Irish friends since 4pm so we went and met him first in Scruffy Murphys in an Irish bar. It was absolutely packed though and we were sobar, so after 2 pints and soaked after getting drinks spilt on us left right and centre, we decided to move onto another bar. Craig, Neil and Phil were also coming out to join us so we waited for them in Star Bar which was nowhere near as busy and we managed to get a seat. The ciders weren't going down too well so I changed to white wine which went down a treat :)

Neil and Craig joined us and we half watched the Chelsea Fulham match while chatting. Before we entered Star Bar I was actually ready for my bed but I soon got a new lease of life :) we met Phil and headed to side bar about 2am ish!!!! Side Bar is the club underneath Wake Up where we were staying so I went up to the dorm to empty stuff out of my bag. I managed to convince Jo to get dressed and come back to the bar, after jumping on Anthonys bunk I didn't manage to convince him though lol. (It was a running joke that I would wake him up one morning by jumping on him!) He got me back though the next morning! :(

Anyways Side Bar was packed and so much fun, you would think we would head to bed after it closed but the boys were all up for hitting the casino!! We went back onto George Street for a slice of pizza and then I surprisingly came to my senses and opted out of the casino. They all tried their hardest to convince Clark and I but we knew we had to be up early to pack.

What an ace last night in Sydney! Thanks guys for a very unexpected crazy night on the town. Until next time..... xxxxx
