We arrived in La Paz in the dark. La Paz is built inside a bowl so from the top we could see all the lights of the city below. We drove down into the city and the streets were full of market stalls and people hurrying around all over the place. It looked crazy! We arrived at our hotel and went straight to bed without going out for dinner.
The next morning we went to explore the witches market where they sell Llama foetus which Bolivians are supposed to be buried in the garden of a new house. They were hanging up all over the stalls, some small ones and some quite large ones. There were also lots of stalls selling wooly jumpers, bags, hats, scarves and gloves. After a good couple of hours looking around we went for lunch in an Irish bar where I had Lincolnshire sausages and mash, yummy!! In the afternoon we just chilled out before going out to have our last group meal and say goodbye to Tom, Lucy and Cheryl.
The following day we walked around again exploring La Paz. In the evening we met the new members of our group that were joining us for the next leg of the trip. So once again we went out for a group meal.
The following day we left La Paz at lunch time to head towards Lake Titicaca at Copacabana.
