a short drive to tarbert to catch the ferry across the Shannon estuary.the ferry was 30 mins late ,the journey across only took 20 mins.we spend a few hours at the cliffs of mother, almost 700 foot cliffs of limestone.spectacular,we were warned not yo get close to the edge and stay behind the boundary wall,as there is a possibility that and upstart could knock some one over the edge.happy to say no one wen over.there were plenty of miggies (sandflys )big black beetles.which crawled onto people sitting in the grass.they leap up and bounce around, sometimes close to the edge .this might be the cause of some be going over if people don't watch where the are going.....spent 45 mins walking up one side to the point ,then back and only had 20 mins up the nest side abd back again before a very quick look around the display room before it's back on the bus and off to bunratty.
