Got up, well woken up by a massive storm at about 4am although didnt get much sleep last night. So wasn't in the greatest of moods having to get up at 4.45am, when it was still dark! Having to lug our rucksacks to the bus stop in the rain that was hammering down! Flight on time, arrived in Bangkok local time of 10.30am. Got a taxi to Khao San Road (the main travellers hangout) which cost 450 Baht - around 6 pound and took around an hour. Booked in at D&D Inn (recommended by Nicola who we met in South Africa!) Dumped our bags in a nice, spacious room with toilet and shower, then headed out to look round all the markets along the road. We got our hair braided! Mine only cost a fiver and took around an hour and a half but Jenny's cost 15 pound ish and took just short of 3 hours! Thats because she had extensions! I'm jealous, as she now has longer hair than me!! :( which is sooo weird! I don't think she's ever had longer hair than me! Came back to the room, had a shower and headed out for a bite to eat. We both had a salad - (Diet starts now!) (As we had noticed around the swimming pool, this place is just full of size zero girls!! And we felt like right flobadobs!) Then had a drink in a bar opposite and people watched for a while, then came to bed as we were exhausted!!
