After the heavy heavy nights in vegas it was so nice to get to spend a couple of days exploring and sightseeing scenery again! The drive to Zion was pretty relaxed as we had 2 days to spend here - its the total opposite from the canyon as instead of looking down into the canyon, you are looking up - which made for easy walking! lol. I think i pretty much fell asleep the whole journey - only to wake up when we made pitstops at gas stations - oh and for lunch of course! :o)

We arrived at the camp early evening and after setting up went to have a little walk through the park (which is the first set of pictures - u can see the colour change from the evening to the day) The colours range from oranges, reds, greens, greys blues and to be honest the pictures dont really do it justice! if i remember right the canyon was carved from the flow of water that used to run through and because of this there is so much life at the base of the cliffs. I got a bit snap happy here as u can tell........ I guess we had a wander for a few hours and headed back to camp for some dinner and card games! again the weather is so hot in the day and freezing at night, but we had a camp fire which was good.

The second day we all split up a bit as there were a few different walks that you could do - some tougher than others. Me and Cathryn werent up for the heavy hike so opted for one that took in a few waterfalls and had a little bit of a climb. it was so different though to the previous day - the colours were more vivid because of the blue sky. We spent a good 3 hrs i reckon wandering through the park and taking different walks but we eventually decided that we would head back get an ice cream and go to the pool! we were the first ones back and it was so nice to have the pool to ourselves and sunbathe for a bit - walking is soooooo tiring! :o) This i guess is it for the spectacular scenery as we are heading to LA tomorrow. I think we are there for 3 nights (Disneyland one day and then some of the touristy spots of LA the next) extremely excited about Disney! lol.
