Just a short update. We've left san Francisco. Went out over the Bay bridge which seems to be longer than the Golden Gate and equally impressive. Not sure why the GG gets all the attention. Up early to leave Crescent City. We knew it would be a long drive. Last night our somewhat hippy waiter had given us written directions to an 'amazing forest'.
