We've left Tofino and headed for Victoria at the south of the island. It is a long drive, around 6 hours. We stopped along the way at Chemainus. this an old mining town where the mine closed. Some bright spark decided to paint murals on the buildings and it soon became a tourist attraction. It is now a thriving place again. If I ever get the internet speed sorted you can see the photos. Hopefully when we get to Vancouver things will improve.

Anyway it was raining when we left Tofino and the weather was a bit hit and miss the whole drive. Apparently the view as you come down into Victoria is exceptional. Unfortunately we drove it in fog !!!!

We are now safely in Victoria. We've been out and sampled one of their many micro brewery pubs. Very nice. The rain has stopped for now so we'll be off out for dinner soon.

We've only one night here and tomorrow we'll catch the ferry to ther mainland and drive to Vancouver.
