Just got back from Nimbin!!(the weed capital of Oz), its practically legal here, full of hippies who have been here since 1960's!! there was a festival here in the 60's and the travellers never went home!!wouldnt have been rude for us not too take part in their culture, we bought some hash cookies off a little old lady, she wanted me to follow her into the weed museum where we did the deal!! very sereal! looked round all the strange shops and buildings in the hemp museum and the bringabong shop (not billabong) then went for a bbq, all had the munchies! and went to a huge rock pool with a waterfall where we all had a swim.
just got back into byron bay both feeling great, goimg out for a nice meal then leaving for Brisbane in the morning!!
AFinding it a bit hard too focus and concentrate so i'll leave it there
Peace xxx

In Byron Bay now its just how I imagined, lots of cute hippy shops, so many backpackers its crazy, there is no where to stay lots of people sleeping on the beach so its good we booked early, travelling is not quite as laid back as you would imagine, you gotta be pretty organised. We sneaked into the Arts Factory yesterday coz we'd heard such good things about it (stank of mossie sticks) but it looked like a wicked place to stay, such a good vibe, we had a drink in the Buddha bar which was really nice, thought of you Bec, wished you were there. Could see why you liked it so much. Think we are gonna take advantage of some free food vouchers tonight at a bar called Cheeky Monkeys!!! Looks like the sun is comming out so we will go check out the beach, there was a bit of a thunderstorm last night we got soaked walking home, but it made the place seem even more tropical!! Catch you later x x

Quick run down of events in Coffs Harbour at the moment its a wicked little place with great beaches, national parks, just been for a long walk to the smallest national park in oz called mutton bird island, staying at a great hostel Aussitel met some cool people especially Pete and Sarah and a guy from Fokestone Aaron. who we are now going to be doing our fraser island tour with!! cant wait driving 4wd drives round the island!! Had a wicked week week in sydney, we were flat out rushing round to see everything.
Managed to get up to the Blue mountains aswell which was amaing, youve got to see it to believe it, saw the famous 3 sisters, Katoomba and wentworth falls and did some great walk through the rain forest. Also went on the steepest train in the world we were practically lying down!! Went to manly the other day whichhad an amazing beach and did some great walks(done soo much walking!!) came back on the ferry at sunset SDydney skyline and harbour was picturesque camera wouldnt do it justice(cant wait to get a new on in asia!!)
Had to be up early the next day had to be in the city for 7 to get on the coach, only 8 hours this time so wasnt too bad, another 5 hr in a min up to byron bay cant wait, off to nimbin on wed to get stoned!! tell you more about that in a few days.

Hi there!
Haven't been in touch for ages! Sorry bout that, it's just one of those things you don't seem to get round to if you get out of the habit of it. Don't worry though, I haven't forgotten about ya and I'm glad you're obviusly still having the times of your lil' lives! That Elf outfit in the e-mail you sent really suited you Kadi. The best thing is that you didn't even have to add rosy cheeks cos you already had 'em. Ha ha!
Got back from Christmas and New Year in the States on Thursday. Had a brilliant time and managed to fit in a fair bit. Completely different from my Disney holiday! Put on 10lbs in 2 and a half weeks cos I ate so much delicious food everywhere I went. Also got drunk just about every night so I've decided on an alcohol-free period until February to 'flush the system.' No problem. Haven't got work until Wednesday so I've got a good opportunity to recover.
I'm just about to settle down, without a few beers, to watch Arsenal beat Liverpool in the FA Cup. Man U play Villa tomorrow, although I understand that you are Aussie Rules fans now, not mere 'Soccer' people. My sport of choice while in the States was Ice Hockey- you tend to forget about the sport back home when you don't see or hear of it anywhere.
I'll check on ya again soon. I'll give Jason a few arm and kidney digs, and maybe a nugee, when I see him.
Take care!
BAIRD.

Part 2: Finally got to Sydney after a 17 hr coach trip from Melbourne!! very boring and didnt get much sleep, arrived here at 12 in the afternoon, first thing we had to do was find where we are staying, its called bondi beach about half an hour out of the city, has the most amazing beach!! got to the hostel which was not he nicest hostel we stayed in!! Sorted our stuff out then headed into the city, thought the best way to see everything was on a open top tour bus as were only here for 4 days got to see all the main sights, it is an amazing city, had a walk round kings cross and oxford street visited a few shops got some new jeans as my were ripped to shreds!! made our way back to the hostel with a yummy indian takeaway ate on the roof top terrace at the hostel.
I had arranged to meet a good friend i worked with in melbourne at Harry's, Oli and also planned to meet Sian and allo her friends who i used to go to school with thought we'd kill 2 birds with one stone and all meet together, mety up at sians hostel in the city, Couldnt believe it they had some other friends from the isle of wight over visitng who i knew from college there ended up being 10 yes 10 isle of wighters in one room!! had a good night drinking cocktails and catching up with old friends, finally came to the end of the night and we didnt have clue how to get back home trains had stopped ended up getting a taxi!
Next day walked down to the beach then made our way into the city and had a closer look at all the sights and the botanic gardens, went in a few galleries and markets had alook round china town, thought we'd treat ourself and go for a nice meal at a restaurant down on the beach a bondi so we could just walk home had a great meal. Verina had her hair done today at posh salon my treat as it was for her birthday i also got her a really nice ring!
Getting the ferry across to Manly in a bit better go, take care everyone.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey All!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I know its abit late we have been so busy since last wrote so this will be a long one.
Before leaving Perth we had a wicked day at a Water Park with Jess, Scotty and Mark, Adventure World, spent the day there with a picnic and went on all the slides etc. After this we had a final trip to Shanghi sheds for a feed.
On the 29th we said our sad good byes to Heather and Jess (and creature comforts for 5 months!!) and flew to Melbourne. Thank you again so much for making xmas so special for us Heather.
We were met by Nikki at the airport, she took us shopping for supplies for the festival, brought everything even a big bird balloon to fly above the car. very happy campers!!! That evening we spent over 3 hours trying to stash booze in the car as there was a ban on bringing your own alcohol to the festival.
The next morning we left early for the 3 hour drive to Phillip Island, had a few stops to fill the eskies with ice (30 kg) along the way (yes we did it properly!)
Finally got to the fesitval site passing through Cowes and waited for ages while they searched everyones cars for booze they were so thorough they even take out the spare tyre to check but we out smarted them and managed to smuggle in all our carefully stashed loot. So we were ectatic and decide to celebrate by cracking open the beers at 10 am.
The festival site was wicked, it was a novel experience actually camping with your car and not having to lug all your stuff to find a spot in a field. you have your car and tent together, its much more civilised and really well organised i was very impressed. (toilets were pretty good too as far as festivals go!!) apart from there is no water coz of the water restrictions are so high now in Victoria.
We set up camp and got Big bird flying high in the sky, it was a gorgeous day perfect festival weather, a slight breeze as the site was on the pennisular on a cliff, over looking the sea. The main stage had views of the ocean on both sides such a wicked location.
Got the party started early and had a rather tipsy wander round the festival sat chilling listening to a wicked Hip hop band True Live. By about 7pm we were all total wasted we watched the Beautiful Girls, End of Fashion. Then fell asleep on a return trip to get beers from the camp and totally missed SilverChair (the headliners!!) But woke up in time to catch a wicked set by Mylo and devoured the best ever Harri Chirstner curry (don't remember eating it but it was definately amazing curry!!)
New Years Eve - My Birthday!!! yay (bit of an old hag now 24, ouch!!) we all woke up feeling rather hungover and found out that Kris and NIkki had also passed out and missed Silver Chair too so we didnt feel like such lightweights.
Sat round our lovely camping table and opened my Birthday pressies and cards, thank you everyone. My piggy touch will come in very useful. Headed into Cowes for some hearty pub grub and to find the Isle of Wight hotel.
Got back to the campsite and decided that hair of the dog was the best option and Nikki and Kris had brought me a big bottle of Champers so we cracked it open to get the party started again. Nikki's brothers, Phil, Dave and Tui came to our tents and we had a mini camp party with lots of red bull, punch and nibbles (practically a buffet) before heading into the arena to watch some more bands. The best by far was Xavier Rudd he was wicked the crowd was so hype to see him!
By 10pm Kris was so wasted he had to go back to the camp to spew everywhere! Where's your stamina!! think Pommy matt is rubbing off on you!!!Nevermind mate!!
Watched band in the dance tent called Crazy Penis!! Also Evermore, Living End and The Freestylers, before heading back to camp, we were in bed by 3am, think were getting old.
Overall we had such a wicked weekend, thanks to Kris and Nikki made it so amazin for us really pulled out all the stops, we owe you one!! Nikki I will remember you every time I see a Hungry Jacks (that drive home was so funny!! we were so ferrel that day in the shopping centre). Stay in touch and you better come visit us soon.
Spent the next day chilling doing washing and watching videos about Kenny the porterloo guy and Nikki brought me my first Ice Cream Freddo birthday cake, yay!! it was lush thank you.
Woke up to disaster, to find the dogs has devoured all of Toby's clothes we had put on the washing line including his G-star jeans!!! it was a good excuse to go shopping again.
Said our good byes and started on the next stage of the travels to the East coast starting with a 17 hour coach trip to Sydney .
Kris And Nikki

Becs Big Sis!
Hi sis and toby, HAPPY HAPPY new year! How was your birthday verina? I hope you had a great time at the concert in Melbourne and you are enjoying Sydney. where have you been so far? from this point on i will start visualising your steps along your route to Cairns from my experiences!! How was christmas for you? how is Heath and Jess? Christmas in Herne bay was great this year very relaxing, partied low key in the evening, and met with family. New years eve was lush, spread over a few days, I went to London The Old Street (Shoreditch- I think!) with Yeter on 30th. we went to a bar and then clubbing, had a fab time. Following day, went to Brixton SGI-UK centre met David W there with a few others, went for a meal in a Japanese restaurant and then out in the evening to Brixton for a party with Brixton Buddhists! the atmosphere was brilliant and made some friends arrr! the journey home was a nightmare took two hours to get from Brixton to Tottenham due to our bus driver getting into an arguement with two girls and refusing to move! By new years eve Yeter and I were washed out and we decided to make it a quiet one infront of the television with a glass of wine. New years day was fab at taplow the energy there was so good! really excited about this year. Have you been to the Sydney centre yet? do you need the address V?I hope you can find it.
