hi you two! I've been looking at your website every couple of weeks and wishing that isaac and i were still travelling. we've been pretty jealous these last two months. but, it is a little nice to think that we are used the bleak existence of working and living in the real world, while you guys have yet to adjust! at least the weather's getting nicer these days. good luck with the job and dwelling searches!

wow, i'm siting waiting just counting down the hours till we go to the airport to finally come home, have mixed emotions, so excited to be coming home but then a little aprehensive as not quite sure whats gonna happen when get back, live, work etc, but thats just the next chapter of life to look forward to...... so today we have been mostly chilling watching movies, tried to do some last minute sunbathing on by the swimming pool on the roof of d and b on koh san rd, but it started raining within an hour how typical!!! tonight we had our last street side meal on Ratchawat the road next to the apartment, said our goodbye to the locals they have started recognising us as regulars now, well the wierd girl who has just egg fried rice anyway!!
well its been a long road its gonna be wierd life change, no more eating out everyday, waking up when we want, having no (or very little purpose to the day!) no more mossies (thank god), no more wearing thongs (flip flops) for a year, ............................... but hello again to all those foods we have dreamt about and talked about having with every other traveller we've met, hello hair straightners, own bed, not living out of a bag carrying everything we own, most importantly the most exciting will be saying hello again to all our family and friends, who we have missed so much.
A HUGE!!!! Thank you to everyone who has written messages on this board, or to all of you that just check out the pics bt didnt wanna write anything (we know who you are!!) we've loved hearing from you, and knowing you haven't forgotten about as completely. Also a hello to everyone that we have met along the way we love you all and stay in touch, hope to see you again soon........ and to all you lucky b uggers who are still travelling have a safe trip and enjoy every minute you have as it doesn't last forever!
Love to all see you soon x x x x count down only 18 hours to go!!!!!!!
Joe
Hi guys, just thought i'd drop you two a quick message to say have a safe journey home. Sorry we didn't get chance to meet up with you guys and that you didn't get to meet harriet. Had an awesome time hanging out with you guys whilst in (Loas), Vietnam and Bangkok...many funny (and not so funny) nights. Keep in touch Joe
Sarah
This is all so weird, me and Pete are writing separate messages!!! ahhhhhhhhhhh
yep i must agree the weather here is pretty nice but everything here is so expensive!! bought a pair of shoes today for £12 and that would normally seem cheap - so verina make the most of it and get more shopping in!! oh and by the way the dress we both got is actually quite fashionable here??? bargain!
And guys dont worry about the tan, u know i thought i was really white but when i got back i looked like a black woman compared to these poor old brits he he
well seriously enjoy ur last few days of lounging around!
hopefully see u soon, lots of love sar x x x x x
Pete
Yeah yeah whatever!!!!! so we're home now, we dont care - honest!! The whole travel back was made slightly better by the fact that the weather here is actually awesome - they werent just lying at home to try and make us jealous!!!
We both said goodbye for the first time in 6 months at the train station in london 9its a bit weird being on my own now!!) but all of the way home it was blue sky with not 1 cloud! still is today, and in the sun its plenty hot enough to keep the shorts and flip flops on (like i would wear shoes now after this long anyway!!)
Well, hope you enjoy your last few days guys, we are looking forward to meeting up again for sure! Maybe you could even venture to wales (not sure if you are experienced in travelling enough yet to make that jump!!0
Catch you soon

Just arrived in Koh Samet, which is 4 hours from Bangkok and its not raining!!!!!! its actually quite warm, the sun is breaking through just a few clouds but we are being optimistic that it wount rain again as we have seen enough in Bangkok to last a life time, so fingerscrossed it will stay nice for next 3 days. Found a little bungalow to stay in nice and cheap only 200 bt, but got stung with a 400 bt entrance fee to come onto the island as its a national park, hadnt planned for that, just means less beer money or luxuries. seems like a nice little place so shouldnt get into any trouble!! Well see you all very soon. love of love T and V x x
ps congratulations to Joe and Kelly how exciting to have a new baby in the family soon!!

Still in Bangkok, and yes it still bloody raining!! so our dreams of sunny island destinations are slowly fading, just like our non-existant tans. Had some great nights out in Bangkok catching up with our friends Sarah and Pete from Oz, and regrouped with Verity, Will and Joe, all went to Pat Pong to see a show, not an experience to be repeated again, then to club called Spicy, where we danced to early hours. If your reading this Sarah and Pete hope you had a safe flight home, we will catch up with you again in sunny old england enjoy your party.
Just waiting for the weather to clear over the next few days, hopefully head to Koh Samet for the weekend. Do a little bit of souvenir shopping today, before the stalls shut in another down pour!! and its not even rainy season yet, this sucks!!!
Verina
just a quick one, still enjoying bangkok, well apart from the Thunderstorms everyday!! and its not even rainy season yet got caught in the rain the other day after changing our plane tickets, we were drenched and no- one wanted us in their taxis so took ages to get home. Coz of the weather we have been staying in most evenings chilling and catching up on movies ashley has a wicked home cinema system, which makes it hard to resist not watching films. Toby had a bit of a boys night out with ashleys house mate brian, but i stayed in as had a meeting the next day, with the Rainbow group, really nice meeting all the bangkok members SGT.
visited the hospital today and had toby's stiches out so both on the mend and thinking about where we can escape to which might have some sun, so we can look like we have been in exotic destinations when we return (with our rather milky complextions at the mo!! gotta go now, update you again soon verina x x
ps hi mum, hope everything went well at taplow this weekend x x

in bangkok now, chilling in the air con of a lovely internet cafe, its bloody hot here too. been in the 7-11 about 4 times already today and had a tasty Pad Thai so were loving it, Koh San road has not changed a bit as you can imagine but much fewer people around than before, spent the morning with my friend Johny (one of my best friends from Uni) it was so wicked to see him especially his big beard!!, but he had to leave a 3 to get the overnight train to Malaysia to do a visa run, then he's heading to Koh Phan Ngan (becoming quite tempted to go meet him at the Full Moon, but not sure yet. Even saw the DJ this morning from the Drum and Bass bar, very random, he was like what the hell are you two doing here still, especially as we were sitting on the steps of Guilivars the last place we saw him literally!!
Just about to go get our tickets sorted out for flying home, be back on the 10th May, very excited!!! Thank you again for all your concerns, think we are going to be fine and dandy now, lovely to know you all care so much. We are staying at a friends house in Bangkok its just outside the city and really nice, he thought we might need looking after. We had a film session last night and chilled out, good to be back in Bangkok again x x
