This morning we bought a hammock. The Brazilian guy selling it told us with his hands this is a very strong/big hammock will fit you two persons no problem! His words I think were however this poor hammock is never going to hold you two fat b*******s! We decided to go back to Paraguay to post the hammock as we had been told that it is much cheaper. We went on the bus and then got a motorbike taxi to the Post Office, it was fab! the wind blowing through your hair, the freedom of the open road (or pavement in some cases). We had not packed any of our items before reaching the Post Office as from previous experience we have never used the correct wrapping/box etc. She told us the hammock would need to be wrapped in sellotape and produced a couple of industrial size rolls from under the counter and proceeded to wrap the hammock in about 500 metres of tape in about 10 seconds. We reckoned her husband must own the only sellotape factory in Paraguay! Booked the bus to Rio when we got back even though our card has not turned up we have decided to go it alone with our credit card!
