Spent most of the day on the greyhound which promised extra leg room, wifi and power sockets. We got a bus which made the old Eynons buses look palatial. We had serious doubts it would make it out of New York let alone the 17 hours to Chicago. However it did make and wasn't as bad as we expected. We travelled from New York through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. We both managed to sleep quite a bit when not being disturbed by other passengers. Everyone has a story! The girl next to us had just been released from a 7 month stay at Virginia State Penitentiary. Nick reckoned she must have spent it in solitary as she didn't shut up. He took his hearing aid out after 2 hours - problem solved! Had a 6 hour wait in Chicago so went up the Willis Tower (the highest building in the USA) which had superb views of the city and lake. Back on the bus now to Minnieapolis!
