Well it's our last day at East Long Meadow and we are off to New York first thing on the greyhound. Our time here has been very different and I believe we have truly embraced the American way of life (we can say how ya doing guys with the best of them!). What we have learnt is never walk when you can drive or go by horse!! They have drive through ATMs and Pharmacys, sit on mowers and mailboxes the postman can reach without leaving his van!! Went to a family cook out this afternoon at Nicks cousin Mikael and his wife Rebeccas' house and we all went for a trek up Peak Mountain which had stunning views over the Massachussets countryside. Had a really lovely day and evening just chilling out and eating more food than I thought possible!! We'll need two plane seats each at this rate.

Today we went horse riding! Two hours through New England countryside on some poor beasts. If horses could talk they would have said are you having a laugh when they saw the size on me and Nick! They held up well though and a good time was had by all (I think!). This evening we went to see Nicks cousin Bibi in a Chamber Choir Recital. Took Nick to the fire station this morning cos he wanted to see the yellow fire engines. They were very friendly and happily posed with my little boy for pictures. Ed our guide had heard of Wales and rugby as his wife's cousin is Mike Ross the Irish prop. We also popped over to Springfield but did not see Homer, Marge or Bart. Awoke this morning to heavy rain with a day planned to visit the Mohawk trail. We decided this was the ideal opportunity to try out our wet weather gear, shower coats, walking boots and a plastic poncho each for good measure. We were a little surprised our hosts did not try and rearrange due to the weather, as they have shown a distinct dislike of walking when the sun is shining let alone when its wet.
