Today we are off on a tour to see the Terracotta Warriors which is due to leave at 9.20am. We were however woken at 8.30 am by our tour guide banging on our door. Managed to stumble to the door half asleep and she barged into the room and told Nick to get out of bed as we were leaving in 50 minutes. We duly got organised and rushed downstairs. We were herded onto a bus with a number of other tourists and told where to sit, Zsa Zsa (our guide) then gave us an overview of the history of the warriors. At the end she asked if we had all understood her and when we said yes proceeded to test us all on the things she had said. Sebastian (one of the german tourists) got a number of questions wrong which displeased her a lot. Got to the site of the warriors and it is pretty amazing although most of it is still being unearthed (it was still great to see how it all looks as they are uncovering them). Zsa Zsa continued to shout at us for most of the day although we did get off lightly as Sebastian got most of the telling offs along with a group of Spanish boys who were particularly unruly (according to her that is). It did however unite us as a group as we were all living in fear of doing something wrong. At one point one of the German tourists asked for the toilets, this did not go down well and he was told in no uncertain terms that the toilet break was 2 hours ago and he would need to wait until the next scheduled break! The torture finally ended at 4.30 pm when we were dropped back off at the hostel! Despite the censor on talking during the tour we did manage to converse and meet some great people and have a fab day!
