Another early start this morning to go on a canoe on the River Jaiwou which was a lovely way to start the day a little boat trip followed by a walk up one of the gorges and an acrobatic tightrope show thrown in. After this it was back on the boat for a couple of hours before we reached our final destination Mooping. From Mooping we caught a bus to see the Three Gorges Dam which was impressive and then on to Yichang where we are to catch a bus to Wuhan which will take 3 hours. 6 hours later we are still on the bus inhaling cigarette smoke fumes and avoiding the spit which is littering the walkway. Our bus driver finally throws us off the bus in the middle of nowhere, we were supposed to get off at the bus station and were to catch a bus from here to the hostel but it was not to be. We flagged down a taxi and showed him the address we wanted to go to but he would not take us and just pointed us in the direction we should take. We started off walking in the direction he had indicated asking people along the way who all nodded and pointed to indicate we should carry on walking which we did for about an hour. We then stopped to ask a young guy who said he would take us there, 5 minutes later we also picked up a young girl who wanted to help and then an old woman. We finally arrived at the hostel at 9.45 pm with our little entourage!!
