Finally it's time....leave TH at 2230 to have a steady drive up to LGW, thankfully the wind and rain had died down. Had a few stops, fuel for two and zzzz. Arrived at LGW, freezing and tired! But excited helped!
Checking in with Emerites was great compared to others...
All on time, all aboard the Airbus 380 for the 7 hour flight to Dubai; managed to sleep abit after 2 bottles of red (small ones haha) beef brisket, pea mash and veg and other usual bits. Stayed awake for Pitch perfect 2 and the flight was soon over. Stretch of legs around Dubai airport which actually is fairly long so got the blood moving until we boarded again for our 5 hour flight to Bangkok.....
Arrived at our hotel at 0900, after a frantic drive here, omg 4 or 5 lanes of rush hour traffic and driving serving in and out of every lane! Luckily didnt have to wait till 2pm check in, was in our room by 1030 and fast asleep by 11am.

That evening we had a walk around the town and came back to the hotel for dinner, an Indian, on the top floor; 26 floors high! Had the set menu, a glass of wine and a g&t came to £70....won't be doing that again! It was nice but not great.
