Coffs Harbour was a mixture of places; marina with the coffs jetty, botanical gardens, creeks and a huge shopping plaza. We managed to do all of the above! On the first evening there was a twilight market across the road from camp site which ran parallel to the beach. Lots of food stalls with lovely smells and a band playing, a young 3 boy piece who sang a mixture of their own stuff plus covers such a George Ezra and Jason Marz. We sat with our beers and enjoyed.
The 2nd day we witnessed a huge thunder and lighting storm and the rain was so heavy it made driving difficult.
On route to Brisbane we stopped for a picnic lunch which I cooked up in the van by the side of a lovely peaceful creek. Byron bay was the next stop, I wish we had booked to stay a night there; the beach was how I imagined an Aussie beach to look, golden sand and good clean surf.
Arrived in Brisbane after a slightly OMG we are driving into the city moment and took a turn to quick! Game over on sat nav ....luckily I have the ability to follow helpful directions and we arrive safe and sound
