Arrived in Cairns in just over 2 hours flying time, a shuttle bus picked us up and brought us straight to the Cairns City Motel, a budget hotel but perfect location and has all we need, beds, private bathroom (after being in the camper a private bathroom is luxury) fridge, toaster and kettle. Sat in a barbers shop....as you do on your last day in Brisbane! Yesterday was a long but great day; we travelled north to Australia Zoo, owned by the Irwin family. It was Steves dream to build a big zoo which he successfully done. Was chilling to think he was just a few years older then me when he died in the tragic accident. Coffs Harbour was a mixture of places; marina with the coffs jetty, botanical gardens, creeks and a huge shopping plaza. We managed to do all of the above! On the first evening there was a twilight market across the road from camp site which ran parallel to the beach. Lots of food stalls with lovely smells and a band playing, a young 3 boy piece who sang a mixture of their own stuff plus covers such a George Ezra and Jason Marz.
