Trip to the Mossman Gorge today, part of the protected and crazily beautiful Daintree Rainforest. It didn't rain - thankfully - but the humidity was practically 100% anyway, so by the end of our 3km walk we were both thoroughly soaked...lovely! This part of the rainforest is managed by the local indigenous people, the Kuku Yalanji, and the paths are well-maintained and the lookouts spectacular. Tiny little white-boarded church with a big, plain picture window opening over the sea...lovelier than almost any stained glass window I've ever seen! Then to a very well-managed wildlife habitat place, with deceptively cuddly koalas and massed herds (? Is this the right collective noun?!) of kangaroos....and loads of raucous, weirdly-wonderful birds. And it rained - lots - but as the humidity was already practically 100%, who cares!

Fantastic day on the Outer Reef - one more item ticked off the bucket list! Andy snorkelled, I swam, we both did a trip in a semi-submersible...all in all an amazing day. Sorry for the intermittent blog here - the Internet struggles to reach the topmost pointy bit of Queensland...!
