We started our day bright and early: well not bright but it was early.
Made our way onto the DMZ tour and it was an hour or so drive to our first stop.
The first place was the tunnels used by the North to hide from the Americans.
The complex tunnel network along the hills by the ocean took 18 months to complete, all underground and all in secret.
Over 300 people lived in this underground tunnel that is not for the faint at heart. There were three levels, Michelle could only handle one level and the deeper you go the more clausterphobic it felt.
Tyler made it all the way down to the third level down, 27 meters under the earth: muddy, wet and dark met Tyler as he decided to go ahead of the pack, also got real muddy as well. Reaching one exit of the tunnel you come out right to the beach.
For the rest of the tour we drove a lot and scene many significant places about the war ( will not get into detail- that's what a history book is for! Lol)
Returned back to the hotel, ate and went to bed.
Gooood night
