Arrived at the airport late Sunday night for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City via Kuala Lumpur. While waiting for departure we found a quiet part of the terminal to relax and watch the planes take off when our quiet was disrupted by an old man with a cane banging on the counter at the nearby departure gate trying to get someones attention. No one was around so he tried to open the door out to a now non-existent walkway to a plane that was no longer there. When that failed he wandered over towards us asking about his flight in broken English.

As it turns out he was looking for a Qatar Airlines flight that had departed about 45 minutes or more earlier. He had missed his flight by some margin as the flight had been delayed from its original departure time. We explained that the flight had departed long ago and he wandered off again.

Our flight boarded and departed on time as we headed to Kuala Lumpur and a 5 hour transit in the LCCT due to an Air Asia schedule change.
