We got up at 7.30 and had breakfast at the hotel then were picked up by the tour company for our dogsledding trip at 9.30am. Clear weather as we approached Svalbard meant we got some good pictures from the plane.Arrived in Longyearbyen a little late due to the extra passenger issue at Tromsø. Had a sleep in and then had breakfast at the hotel before setting out to the Floibanen, the funicular up to Mt. Floyen. Magnificent views over the city and surrounds from the top des[ite the rain setting in. Weather was cold, wet and windy but we continued on catching the funicular back down to Bergen and walking down to Bryggen, the World Heritage listed old town of Bergen with its crooked wooden buildings and alleyways. Got up at 4am and grabbed a croissant and coffee in the hotel lobby before checking out and catching the FlyBus to the airport. We checked in and had our bags checked through to Longyearbyen. Flight to Oslo left on time.

Boarded the flight from Oslo went to Longyearbyen via Tromso. We had to leave plane in Tromso, wait abiut 20 minutes and then reboard. There was only a couple of toilets near the gate so most of that 20 minutes was spent lining up to use them! Eventually we boarded the flight and after they worked out a problem with an "extra passenger" on board we were on our way to Longyearbyen.
