Got up at 3am, checked out of the hotel and walked down to check in for our flight out to Amsterdam on our way to a stop over in Kuala Lumpur. Flight left at 6am and we were on our way.

Arrived in Amsterdam and passed through EU customs then went to the KLM lounge for some food and drink before boarding our flight on to Kuala Lumpur. Flight left on time.

Got up at 7.15am and had breakfast at the hotel then packed our day packs and walked to the train station to catch the train to Uppsala. Arrived in Uppsala at 10.30am and walked in to the centre of town to catch the bus to Gamle Uppsala. Looked for bus number 2 but could not find it. Walked to Tourist Info and they told us where the bus left from. Walked to bus stop and caught bus to Gamle Uppsala. Walked around the burial mounds from 500AD then visited the churc...

Woke up at 9am and had breakfast in the club lounge then got our day packs together and went for walk around the old town, Gamle Stan. Started at Riddarhuset, the House of the Nobility before walking past the Riddarkyrkan (church) to the terrace on the western side of Riddarholmen island with views over to the surrounding islands. Walked down the narrow streets to the Tyskakyrkan (German Church) then up the eastern side of the island with its narrow cobblestoned...

Got up at 7.15am and had breakfast at the hotel. Checked out and caught train to Stockholm. Train trip took about 3 hours and we were given coffee, coke and sandwiches on the train.
