Ahhh last day in paradise....gotta hate them.....early rise....look at legs....ewwwwwww......like nothing is gettin better....cept more red spots. Definitely thinking flesh eating disease.....crap.....it was my elephants revenge I didn't give her enough bananas I bet....crap man....people are gonna call me stumpy and stuff....this sucks....must not let wife see my concern...as I try to mend me legs.....must be tough and all that. She is fine of course...but not, she has the signs of a cold that she has been fighting for a few days so here in lies the dilema....how do you travel as a Canadian with cold symptoms and not be accused of being a swine flu carrier? I'll tell you how its done....you don't let freakin anybody know!!!!! It's that simple....I not keen on being quarantined.....even though its an awesome climate.   So sheeesh......that simple....so Shauna manages to hold back the coughs and all that......and we make it thru the first checks at the Sumui airport.....(my apologies if this gets wierd but I am totally snocked writing this...discovered an awesome drink...its called the "Beauty" pretty simple shot of Cognac....and a shot of Drambui.....and all is welllllll.....hic......

So just enough time for an early breakfast.....then off to the airport. Awesome airport....totally redone since our last visit....oh man I am slurring in my head now....so sorry in advance........we shall see how this blog is when sober............ahhh

So we have to go thru Bangkok....and we end up in the airport on the international side...so time to find our restaurant with the great tom yum......well we find the place and unfortunately its under different management not the same ......sniff sniff.....tom yum but not spicy.....so sad. No worries though....off to the lounge for a bit and its packed....not that great.......get on our first Singapore airlines flight. Get on the plane and nice seats.....girls are dressed up awesome.....but slow service.....and they forgot one of my glasses of Port...unforgivable sin.....so jury is out.....but on route we have Singapore Slings on a Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore. How cool is that....cept we officially do not like Singapore slings. Seems to be a bit of a poof drink if you ask me, just missing the umbrella. We have another flight to Shanghai with these guys....we shall give them another chance......

We flew over Malaysia and have to say it's a jungle down there and with that we are officially in Singapore.....awesome......the airport is so neat.....I mean clean and organized. So to get to our hotel we have to get into the que for our taxi...no problem very efficient....cept our taxi driver is a bit of an ass...maybe i was sobering up....well we got in around 4, so we hit a major traffic jam....took like an hour to get to the Hilton.....I actually fell asleep for a bit.....but have to say the city is very clean and green and in the jungle........did I mention it is smoking hot....and major humid.....

We get to the hotel finally...no tip for the driver.....he pissed me off....but the hotel does not dissapoint.....awesome room on the club floor. Staff is great......so off we go to explore a bit......ok so one thing that Singapore is is this.....farging expensive.....no ifs and or buts.......14 dollars for a beer......at 1.25 exchange......crazy....ahhh well no worries we go back to the club lounge for happy hour.....drinks are free....yay.....so our guy starts pouring the meyers rum....yay....then get talking to the guy next to us. Awesome dude...is like the owner of all the bridal shows in Canada....the guy knows Warren Buffet.....amazing stories to swap....also Kevin Bacon is a really nice guy apparently.

So eventually we need to eat.....well there is a Hard Rock cafe around the corner.....off we go. The streets here are busy and definitely metropolitan. Tonnes of restaurants and pubs. So we fond the Hard Rock no problem...did I mention it was hot out? Got in bought some cool shirts..and off to our table for what I though would be a great meal. Now it started off okay....we got seats and then it fell apart...worst service ever....took forever.....and they brought out our meal at the same time as the appetizers...not nice....so they took them back and then tried to serve em to us cold....no way..........

I called the manager over...and she promised to take care of it....and for us 25% discount...hmmmm ok I say.....then the service still sucked.....and my steak was rare not medium well....was paying enough for it wanted it right and to top it off....crappy service.....so get the manager again. Really let em know what I thought and was thanked for letting them know....end result.....free meals ....and free margaritas...all is good.

So they have a stage and the band "Energy" sparked up.....totally awesome cover band. Margaritas and then I started to drink the Mojitos.....they may cost 20 bucks each but dam they do not skimp.....feeling great.. Shauna is having a blast think she was doing the Singhas, she loves the band and the band loves us as we are cheering and hooting octaves above the rest......then to be honest.....I got snockered and had to go home..also the air conditioning was too cold...snorted down that last mojito....got to the room.....remember that.....then its a blurr.....came to at some point in the biffy in our room....and honest to Buddah....did not have a clue where I was I thought I was somehow lost in the bathroom at the bar......good times.......Shauna was most understanding.
