So I got the bike packed up....accepted the fact that I forgot something that I will need and proceeded to hit the road at about 4:00....all I can say is good thing if I was another ten minutes....I would have gotten nailed by this big ole black cloud........only got a bit wet. Whoo hoo...also set the route. Was getting gas in Devon and if I turned right down Hwy 22...into the storm...so Hwy 2 it was. I hate Hwy 2.....did I mention I hate Hwy 2. On the plus side didn't encounter any boneheads wow a first.

Not too much to report on the ride. Cept I turned right at Olds to bypass Calgary...hit Hwy 22 straight south...then the winds hit...Holy Crap......if I put the bike in neutral I am sure the winds would have pushed me back to Edmonton......used a wee bit more gasahol than usual.....ohhh and then I hit a rain cloud....and the temps started to swing down.....changed gloves and all was good. by the time I turned right onto 1A all was good. Quick run to the D&D Villa. Nice way to end a day as I love the last run to their place off the highway....its a climbing twisty little road. I think it has a speed limit.......

So I arrived safe and sound.....and did I luck out. Seems it was Tuna steak night and they waited for lil ole me. Darla makes one mean tuna steak. Seems Dave b*****ed his back and was walking around like a 90 year old.....actually felt bad for him....he need drugs bad.

So sat on the deck admired the view and chatted with a wee bit of the Captain. But with Dave hurting it was an early evening. Actually good thing as I needed to think where the heck I was going........
