Well, we're in Sydney at the moment. But one thing at a time! Melbourne was good. Not as hot as we thought it would be considering its summer, but it was still nice. We got ourselves an apartment next to a huge shopping mall called Highpoint. The apartment was with a pretty annoying Malaysian women called 'Bee Young'. The place had a really good view over the whole of the Melbourne skyline, but it was abit clinical clean wise. She had this bin, that was basically the size of a sandwich bag!!! Meant it had to be emptied about 8 times a day! Apparently it was to prevent insects.... of which there were none! The only other person living there was a guy called Patrick, who was nice, we all spent lots of time playing on his Playstation 3 together! All in all though, it was a very nice change to camping, being able to feel clean all the time and sleep in a real bed.
We had time to see most of the sites in Melbourne, and have a good explore of the city centre. We visited nearby islands, one called Phillip Island, which was awesome. They have Penguin and Seal colonies there, although we only saw one penguin all day, and it was dead...
Since leaving Melboune we went to the Blue Mountains which are just outside of Sydney and are totally spectacular. We did loads of walks, we both had extremely achy legs for days. It was super warm there, about 40 degrees in the day, but the temperatures dropped down to near freezing at night, which was not good for camping. We've got lots of beautiful photos to add, although finding anywhere to add them is turning into a total mission. Pictures and more blogs to come soon.
