Mediterranean cruise
After an unexpected encounter with a pickpocket (don't come between me & my iPhone) last night, we got off to a perfect morning walking in Lucerne-city of light. The painted bridge, the Jesuit church & ole town are a few of the highlights. The afternoon included a Swiss Excursion to Mt. Pilatus- named after a local legend which alleges that Pontius Pilate was buried there. Our transportation to the 7000+ foot mountain started with the world's steepest (48% grade) cog railway where we enjoyed a unique alpine experience. The descent was in aerial panorama gondola cars with breathtaking mountainscapes, sounds of cow bells, & smell of pine trees....WOW! A true awe-inspiring experience.
