Morning started in Rudesheim with an original Irish Coffee-brandy, coffee,cream.....that will wake you up! Then we enjoyed a wine tasting at the Rottland Winery where we were entertained by the wine grower & sampled Reisling. Shopped a darling little street then back to riverboat for site seeing of the beautiful Rhine Valley on the sun deck to Koblenz.

After brunch on board the MS Amacello, we arrive in Speyer-one of Germany's oldest cities. Our walking tour included Speyer's old town, churches, & the Altportel-a 13 century gate tower. Early morning started with a tour of The Lion Monument in Lucerne. Mark Twain described The Lion monument as "the most mournful & moving piece of stone in the world."
