back at grand teton national park again, this time we decide to hike to hidden falls which is in the mountains and right by lake Jenny. the walk was lovely but it was so hot it felt like 6 miles instead of two and a half. along the way we saw a pika, whick is like a hamster, a marmot which is kind of like a beaver, and a moose and her calf which was really cool. the falls are beautiful, and so are the cascades that run on from it. we also hiked up to insperation ...

wow yellowstone park is amazing. we initally went there to see the volcanic activiety that is there ( yellowstone is a super volcano, the 40 miles long 60 miles wide approx) but the wildlife, waterfalls lakes and rivers are stunning. after i ( laura) initally got over my two fears of the place a) the supervolcano wasn't going to erupt and b) i wasn't going to get eaten by a bear!! i really didn't want to leave. got into salt lake city late ( typical amtrak!!) and picked up a hire car, they has double booked the cars out so we ended up with an free upgrade (o no!!) which was cool.stopped at Grand Teton National Park on the way to yellowstone park. the park is beautiful, we are only here for one night now and one on the way back from yellowstone. anyhow, set up camp and went for a walk around the area. it's right on the lake with the mountains all around. stunning. tha...
