Our trip is over!!!
We spent two days driving along the Southern Scenic Route, which goes along the bottom of the South Island. We drove to a place called Nugget Point where we saw penguins and seals on the rocks. We visited cathedral Cave the next day where we had to paddle throught the freezing cold sea to get to the entrance. That was fun!! We stopped at some small bays along the road and saw some lovely views and scenery. At Curio Bay is a petrified forest, where the trees were fossilised and you can see them in the rocks. We visited the most southern point of Australia which we looked at from the car as it was wet and windy. We went for a walk at one bay wherer we found sea lions asleep in grass, this was amazing we were so close to them.
The next day we arrived in Te Anau, we booked our Milford Sound trip.
