We spent a week in London getting our Indian visas sorted, studying up on India and catching up with our friends Graham and Rachel and meeting Dave from Melbourne who was also staying at Graham and Rachel's.
We spent time with our son, Daniel and heard about his travels in Mexico.
On a Sunday we headed off by train for a day visit to Bath and Stonehenge. In Bath we met up with daughter, Ebony and her friend Mike who are staying at Exmouth (near Exeter). Stonehenge was well, what you would expect it to be, given it has been the subject of many documentaries and one of the best known tourist sites in country UK. It was a worthwhile experience and it IS quite mysterious with many unanswerable questions. It was a very cold day though and we are aware that the weather is beginning to be an issue for us as Autumn progresses.
On our last night in London we went to a wind-up party for Busabout at the Shepherd's Bush Walkabout Pub and caught up with many people we had travelled with in Europe. Daniel joined us for the evening also to say goodbye before we headed off to India in the morning.
Footnote: Stonehenge, Avebury and Associated Sites are UNESCO World Heritage listed and Stonehenge, Amesbury, United Kingdom was an official Finalist in the New Seven Wonders Of The World listing. City of Bath is UNESCO World Heritage listed.
