During our stay in Adelaide we took up Heather's brother Dennis invited us for a weekend on their houseboat on the Mighty River Murray.We had a great time and even managed to take our fold up portabote for a spin. We also took a weekend camping trip down south to 42 mile beach with son, Tim. Fantastic location with great sunset but no fish landed. 

Just west of Port Lincoln is Coffin Bay which has the dubious honour of being where Heather honeymooned for her first marriage.It is also the home of Dean Lukin, tuna fisherman, dubbed the strongest man in the world, after being the only Australian ever to win gold in the weight lifting in the Olympic games. Arrival at Ceduna heralded the end of the Nullarbor, whilst we find the Nullarbor an interesting enough trip (although many tell us it is boring) it is never the less very long.We elected at Ceduna to take the coast road to Port Augusta (rather than across the top on the peninsular) even though the trip is considerably longer, it is also more scenic. We only stopped in Ceduna for a bite to eat before moving on to camp somewhere east of Smoky Bay.

We arrived at William Creek just before nightfall and realized we were not going to need a lot of time to check out the town, it was limited to just a pub. Conveniently the pub had an area where one could set up camp which we did, then surprisingly another vehicle pulled into the camp ground, a Troopy with a pop top, this led to conversation and ultimately some company to hit the pub with later. We spent three days in Adelaide catching up with family.The weather had been bad for the whole time, wet and cold, and the morning of the 12th was no different.
