Nice is the capital of the Riviera and the beautiful Cote d Azur. When people speak of ¨taking the South of France option¨ when terminally ill, you can see why. We had visited Nice for 5 days in 1999 but it will always be a great place to visit. We arrived in Nice at about 4.30 pm and were able to secure a room to ourselves with toilet and shower, oh heaven! Dumping our stuff in the room we headed for the tourist office which was practically across the street. We were able to sort out all the info for flying back to Paris and how to catch the train to Monaco, Cannes and into the country to Puget-Theniers.
