What a day, nothing like last minute stress to make you feel alive. 9am turned on my beautiful new beast of a laptop and nothing happened!!! What this can't be I thought, I only bought this in December, mmmm what to do next, get in the car and head to JB-HIFI where I bought it and get a replacement, not settling for anything less. To be fair they were great but it meant a trip to Manukau City the only store that had a new one. Thanks to Rod driving, as I was just a tad stressed with all the work I had to do we got the laptop and got to the airport in time to relax in the lounge for 5pm.
The flight to Buenos Aires on the Air NZ Dreamliner was great, we managed to get 3 seats so lots of space - this aircraft did feel really spacious, the lighting was was very calming to fly in and I think the air is fresher, after 11 hours we arrived not feeling too bad. I even managed to sleep for roughly 4 hours on and off. Our taxi was there to meet us and we whizzed into the city, its took about 45-50 minutes. I had chosen Castela Hotel & Spa, a budget hotel with a fantastic location and most sights were within walking distance and there was a SUBTE (underground station) right outside the hotels door. You pay for what you get, I have no complaints, the shower was great, the bed and room was clean and it was really quiet, as for the view mmmmm, thats why the room was quiet, it had a view of the internal buidling so there was no street noise at all. The staff, however did not specialise in being excitable or friendly a little bit more like the living dead!
We had a great shower then headed out for a walk, a new city is always so exciting, Rod was chomping at the bit for a big hunk of Argentinian steak, I was happy to wander and soak up the city.
