Good news for me... been offered a promotion in my job already and a 2 increment pay rise so very happy about that. I'm now a Homelessness Housing Officer... enjoying the new job working in the Civic! Had my first case study today which was really interesting. I now have to investigate with social workers, other housing authorities and councils whether what the couple has told me is really the case! Detective Sammo has already found out they've told a few porkies... but obviously not allowed to go into details.

Everyone in the office has been joking that I'll be managing the place next week! haha!

Hiya Elaine, your mum & dad sent me the site so I could find out what you're up to. I can't tell you how impressed I am at how you're packing it all in. The world has definately been your oyster. Good for you girl. I've told Alex its something he should do when he grows up. See you're in Aus now. As you may know I lived there when I was a kid. Place called Inala about 20 miles (or maybe more) east from Brisbane I think! No doubt all very different to when I was there. Some smashing photos of all the places you're been to so far, although must admit haven't looked at every single one. Have you seen any huge spiders yet?

All is well with us here. Alex is in year 10, starting GCSEs. Just sorted his work experience placement for next April - has got a plumbers mate job. Bill and I are shacking up together next summer. Putting my house on the market in May. We're looking foward to it. We're are going to use money from sale of my house to buy a place in Spain to let out as a holiday home for rental income and future investment. His kids, Becky and David, are doing well. Becky wants to be a vet. She's also in year 10 and starting GCSEs. She's got a placement in a kennels. We're on half term this week and I'm going to see your mum on Thursday for a chat. Haven't seen her for months. Daphne has a boyfriend in Spain (I bet you're mum reads this before Thursday - she'll be desperate to find out more!). She's known him for 2 years as a friend - he's quite wealthy apparantly and whisked her off to the Dominican Republic for a holiday not so long ago. She's had another cancer scare, but has had an op and all is ok and boyfriend been extremely supportive. Chuffed to bits for her - not so lonely now.

Anyway must go. Alex and I are off to see the new Wallace and Grommit movie in a min.

Aus looks good! I'm in my new job now - seems pretty good for the moment. Pretty pissed off tonight as my mate Mike and his group got voted off the Xfactor to some rubbish irish guy and girl. They were completely robbed. DOubt you watch it on TV in Aus though.

News here - have almost finished the extension - have massive kitchen now, a downstairs loo, studay and a porch!! Yuk- more stuff to clean!
Darren just got in from surfing - apparently the best session he's ever had on the south coast. Sure that's just surfy-speak though!! Mark, Phil, Matt and Steve have gone to Portugal for a weeks hol, so Ric was feeling left out and came down for a surf yesterday.
