We are only 5 days into this trip and all ready we have experienced so much!!! its fab.. We've done the Miami thing first! - fab!! South beach for a tan and then dont remember much of the evening- it was our first night! - our hostel was mad - our room was right by the court yard where everyone mingled. From 4 pm we sat there just drinking and chatting, and met tons of people from all over the world... went out from there!- need I say more (men everywhere ( sorry mum!!).... cooked in the commual kitchen ( which was an experience)- there was about 40 people in the court yard it was one big party!! - It was a sign - says tara - good things to come!! Since then we have negotiated our first bus trip down to Florida city - ($1.75 for a two hour trip - bargain!!), then metrotrain and greyhound bus... travelled down to the most southern point in America -Key West.. which is really surreal!- its almost as if it is a film set, its so perfect its as if you could open someones front door and there would be nothing behind it. Went to the everglades and saw the aligators, I faced my phobia and held an albino python!!! - check out the fear in the photo! We also went on an air boat - like in 'Gentel Ben!! - fab This hostel here was also surreal! - complete hippy den with a outdoor lounge - like a hareem... with a round room , pillows ,blankets, digeridoos and bongos etc! - Mad! Last nigth was in tampa - a country and western hostel - each room was themed - rock and roll, country etc.. even a train room and you could flick a switch and it play the train sounds - chooo choooooo!!!! Now we are now at Andys Aunts in Clearwater, tampa... they are treating us like kings and queens - so much for youth hosteling..... they , we have been in their pool, are taking us to the beach tomorrow and then lending us there car to go to sea world on Monday... after that we are on to NEW ORLEANS and we absolutley cannot wait!!! - its gonna be fab!! So at the moment ... the word of the week is PARTY!!!! love to Everyone Elaine, Tara and Andy xxxx
