Hello Folks

As our planned meeting was cancelled, we decided make the most of what seemed to be a lovely sunny day off. After stopping to buy suncream and sunglasses, we headed off towards the hills, sandwiches packed and bottled water in hand. At the top of the hill, we were reassured that the sunshine was here to stay and applied another layer of factor 15 - just to be safe. A little way along the track, whilst stopping for a picnic, we experienced one of those rapid weather changes that people warn you about but you never quite believe. As a huge thunder storm approached, we ran for our lives. What a sight to behold as we hot footed up the mountain towards the cafe. Now for an early night before a day of work tomorrow at Te Whare Manaaki secure unit. Bye for now all you lovely people XX
