Left the s***e hole of Hat Yai today bound for Kuala Lumper. we booked a cheap flight through Air Asia and headed for the airport by taxi. We were very surprised to see so much security. For starters, when we arrived at the airport the underneath of the taxi was checked for all we can guess was bombs or something! There was also loads of guards with dogs and guns in the place... it was scary! We landed in KL and got a taxi to the "Golden Triangle'. We thought we would be able to find some cheap accommodation no problem...wrong! It had started chucking it down so we had to wrap up in our funky waterproofs and cover the packpack as well. This was the first time we had really got wet. The hotels are quite expensive....the one we found was 10 pound a night....Yes thats expensive! The hotel only had a double room left so I'm having to share a bed with sarah tonight....great!! Opposite the hotel (s***e hole) there is the biggest shopping mall EVER! With 7 floors, 500 shops and a fantastic cookie stall we were in heaven! We spent 3 hours wondering around and got pretty lost. Had chicken and rice, this time spiced it up a little with garlic for our tea. Spotted another shopping mall earlier, with a Topshop and have left that until tomorrow. There's only so much shopping 2 girls can do in one afternoon!!!
