Day 16. Spent the day driving up to Cape Tribulation. It is only a short drive from Newell Beach but the wait for the ferry adds a couple of hours to the trip! The drive from the ferry to Cape Tribulation is a winding scenic route. There is a lot more development here than we expected but always the rainforest backdrop and lovely coves improve the view. The rainforest really does meet the reef! Nature blows you away up here. You feel very small when confronted by such natural beauty.
We finished the day visiting the small but pretty town of Daintree. Many recent sightings of cassowaries but not by us!
