Day 46. Today we had a look around Burnett Heads, Bundaberg Port and Bundaberg. They are all situated on the Burnett River. There is an historic feel to the area with the old lighthouse just near our CP. The port is there to load the sugar. There is a lovely marina and boat dry dock as well. Day 45. The Boyne Island CP is excellent and worth a return visit. We headed away to Bundaberg and Burnett Heads, our last coastal localities. We went via 1770 and Agnes Waters. We first heard about 1770 from people we dined with at the Laura pub near Cooktown. Then Ros recommended Agnes Waters so we wanted to take a look. 1770 is so named as it is the second place on mainland Australia that Cook made landfall.
