January 10th - 13th Coffs Harbour
Up and off to Coffs Harbour today. The journey took a few hours but we randomly bumped into one of the girls we'd met on our 'Roam China' tour and so it was nice catching up and reminiscing.
When we arrived in Coffs we had a bit of a dilemma. Turns out that the Greyhound drops off way out of the centre and because it was a Sunday there wasn't a taxi in sight. Luckily one of the hostels let us jump in their minivan and they dropped us off at the campsite.
The campsites seem to be getting better as we go along; this particular on Holiday Park was huge. Right near the beach again but we had the luxury of a proper camp kitchen, a huge pool and a giant jumping pillow thing (like a trampoline), which kept us amused for all of 5 mins.
Again, we spent the next few days exploring the town and making the most of the beach. Like Port Macquaire Coffs is just a little seaside town and so there wasn't a great deal to do. Went to a fun fair one night and also sat and tried to name some of the constellations (the night time sky is spectacular in the southern hemisphere)…..but failed miserably. Astronomy is obviously not our strong suit.
