Decided on ...... the Atherton Tableands tour and am so glad that i did. I decided to just do the trip which looked the most appealing to me, and not do what i felt i should do.

The trip was an overnight tour run by an eco tour called On The Wallaby which means on the road in swagmans languade. The first day was really cool, we made our way into the Tablelands and stopped at a few lookouts which gave stunning views over the tablelands. - I did take photos but not sur my $4.00 disposable camera is going to do it justice. the tablelands are quite unique beacause you have areas of dense rainforest just patched around in an area which is otherwise used for farming dairy cows. The guide was so enthusisatic about the rainforest that i actually payed attention and really enjoyed learning about the raifroest and some of the cool things it contains, including kangaroos that live in trees ( no joke) . Thehighlight though has to be visiting Mira Mira falls which is famous as the waterfall in the Timotee advert, and also is where Peter Andre filmed Mysterious girl. The first day was mainly just hop on hop of the bus though which was good but i dont really like to just sit on a bus.

The lodge we stayed in was by far the best hostel i have ever stayed in, it only holds 30 people and is like a little skii lodge with really friendly staff. That night we were taken to a local creek where we saw platypus which made my day becuase its the only animal i havent seen in aus so far Only a few of us opted to stay overnight but I am so glad i did becuase the second day was great. We did mountain biking, kayaking and got our faces painted. it was really good fun and I am so glad i chose that trip :) ... i made the rightchoice for once!

Have one maor dya in cairns before my first Grey hound bus expereince- wish me luck!
