Yesterday we spent our day looking around. We went up the high street and towards the sky tower where we saw a guy do the jump off the top! Looked petrifying! We then went up to the town hall and had a look around there. We didn't have enough time to get onto the harbour front or the water but hopefully we'll get to do that on our way back. In the evening we went to the pub in the hostel and met some of the people we are on the KiwiExperience bus with so that was nice!

Today we got picked up on the bus and started our journey. Our first stop was at cathedral cove where we did a 30 min walk down to a beach. It was very secluded and pretty. There were caves in the rocks and there is a marine reserve off the beach but we weren't lucky enough to see any penguins or seals. We hopped back on the bus and then made our way to our final destination of the day - Hot Water Beach. We wondered down to the beach on low tide so we could dig hot pools in the 3 specific spots where the hot spring water comes to the surface. It was really cool and so bizarre! The water from underground was so hot though we had to mix sea water into it to create the perfect temperature! Happy days!
