Yesterday was the final coffee with Jen and David. We were all pretty excited as the next time we meet will be in Paris on Thursday! Who hoo! Marl came around for final hugs and we dined with Kate and Ted for a delicious and fun dinner.

Today is the waiting day. With the bags packed and locked the time creeps by until pickup time. Paul did his presentation at the conference in town and I had a last coffee with Julie. We have double checked our paperwork and I ironed on Aussie flag patches on our day packs.

After lunch we sat in the sun watching the garden buffeted by strong winds and clouds scudding across the sky...........and then came the rain! It pelted down and just as quickly stopped! What a day to be leaving.

Paulie has been icing his foot and reading and we have both nodded off at times! I am quite looking forward to our walking now and can't wait to get to St. Jean Pied de Port and begin our journey.
