Wednesday - We had breakfast out on our own deck and then drove around town and past the marina to a lookout that looks down onto 4 mile beach. There is a little plaque that has places around the world and how far the places are. There was Vancouver on it and it was 13,400 km away. Then we drove to Mossman gorge past an aboriginal town and sugar cane plantations. There were a few people and lots of tour busses. A while down the track we came to a cold river where people were swimming and boogie boarding. Then we walked along a swinging bridge, but the path on the other side was closed, so we went back.
Then I got my togs on and went back down the path. Then dad and I went swimming in the river. While we were in the river mum saw little lizards running on my sandals. After a while a tour bus arrive and people started to feed the fish in the river so it got crowded and we left. When we got back to the motel I had a quick swim. Then we went to a wildlife center where we saw bunches of animals. We saw koalas, lots of parrots, egrets, spoonbills, ducks, storks, two kinds of kookaburras, fruitbats, cassowaries, kingfishers, pigeons, cane toads, saltwater crocodiles and freshwater.
I FED AND PETTED WALLABIES AND KANGAROOS AND PADEMELLONS (tiny roos). Then for a swim.
